Overall Objective

The project aims to promote and popularize use of briquettes as an alternative to charcoal derived from wood and the use of energy saving stoves, thus enabling households, communities and institutions to save on fuel costs and serving as a model practical intervention for climate change mitigation in Kampala City.

The project will target charcoal sellers in trading centers/ markets of Kampala city as well as their customers mainly in urban poor. The end users of the briquettes will be the poorest residents of the target communities.
